Georgetown French Market

This weekend we headed into the city as Georgetown DC held their annual French Market.

I have wanted to go to this event for years, and skipped a chance at a beach weekend away to make sure we didn’t miss it!

The market itself was packed and well-run, but the French-y aspect was a bit … underwhelming.

It was more of a street fair with the occasional accordion music coming out of a speaker. Almost no French-themed booths, shops, or food were involved.

Not a problem, just something to know if you plan your day around it and are as francophilic as I am!

If you’re not as big on the French theme and just want some great discounts from the shops on Wisconsin Ave from O Street to Reservoir Road, you’re golden!

The weather was flawless, and we strolled around the area and had an awesome day anyway!

French Market Books

A little library booth with French baby books on display! Juliette was totally taken in and we had to read a few before she would move on!

Georgetown Archway Courtyard

Absolutely love the Georgetown architecture – no place in DC reminds me more of Europe! So many little secret passageways you wish you could go down …

French outfits and Provence colors!
