Hey Gorgeous!
Well, we are wrapping up our series on the Model Mentality this week, and I’ve been so excited to hear how much it has helped and inspired so many of you!
If you’ve missed any of the posts, you can catch up below!
This week’s final installment speaks to a slightly different aspect of this – the importance of having and developing passions that give us joy and pleasure and something to focus on – other than eating!
You know those women who seem to have those fascinating lives? And they are often slim and healthy on top of it? Did you ever stop to think that maybe those two things go together?
When we have hobbies, interests, activities and passions that consume our hearts and minds and light us up, not only do we become so much more fascinating to those around us, but we are less likely to turn to unhealthy ‘fillers’ in our lives – like food we don’t need, gossip and demeaning relationships, negative self-talk, etc.
Instead, we have foreign cultures and languages that have captured our interest. Style and fashion all our own, in every area of our lives. New authors and artists we’ve discovered, and places we’re planning to travel.
That, my dear, is a life well-lived – and so interesting that we just might forget to eat!
(Just kidding. Never in my life have I forgotten to eat, no matter how engrossed I am in something!)
But this also gives us that hope we talked about in Part 1, albeit on a much smaller scale than a full-on life purpose. It’s something to look forward to, to plan for, to lose ourselves in – a reason to love life and get that sparkle back!
So what passions do you already have? Which new ones would you like to cultivate? You can only discover what will interest you by ‘trying on’ different things, so hop on Pinterest or into a bookstore or just out into the world and explore!
Love and Freedom,
Jackie
