Hello Lovelies!!
Happy April! Welcome to Spring (or Fall, for my Aussies!)
I love this time of year – there’s no doubt that we are well into the year; spring parties are being planned and summer is right around the corner.
Which could be putting you in a panic. If you are like I was in Nice, I was pretending that the warmer weather was not making me sweat and that I was perfectly happy being totally clothed on the beach.
I was neither comfortable in my body nor taking good care of it, because I was HUNGRY.
As you guys know from the post I linked to last week, my pastry path walk of shame was my hunger-driven zombie-walk that packed on the pounds.
I did not know how to control my appetite like I do now. I chat more about the things I learned to do to keep my hunger hormones under control, and dive into a new topic – how different cultures affect our body care – in last Saturday’s Periscope which you can check out below.
But if this summer still doesn’t have you excited, it doesn’t have to be this way. I’d love to offer you an invitation to start the season with more love for your body and connection to God than you may have felt in a while:
In about two months, I’ll be taking a group of women to Miami for an intensive-luxe getaway where we will learn and practice the art of caring for our bodies.
The Bombshell Body Retreat will be limited to an intimate group of ladies who are serious about self care and approaching it Biblically.
If this sounds intriguing (or absolutely fabulous) – check it out here. But be aware: this will be a small group, so if you’re ready to save your spot (which does not officially register you), please be sure to sign up to show your interest and let me know which dates are best for you!
Okay, this week we are diving into a serious subject: body shame and the games it plays.
Haven’t heard of body shame? Oh girl, you are in for a ride! Here we go…
