So, what did you think?
If you downloaded the Love Your Body 101 worksheet, I would LOVE to know what you thought about it, how it helped you, and/or what you’d like me to add to make it even more useful for you.
Remember, everything I’m doing is for you guys! So if there is something you’d like to see, just ask and you shall receive! 😉
In the spirit of getting your input as the VLX movement grows, I’d love to give you some updates: introducing you to the beta version of the newest iteration of the VLX blog, and getting your thoughts on an exciting new idea I’ve been brewing.
First, the new blog: there will still be some tweaks in design and organization, but the VLX blog has a brand new look that should make it super easy and enjoyable to navigate and be inspired by. I’m also working on developing a new posting style which will include little updates, tips, and inspirations with a theme for every day of the week, on top of the longer weekly videos or posts.
You’ll see some preliminary post categories in the main menu, which may move around a bit, but you can get an idea of what I’ll be covering!
Second, the new idea!
For quite a while I’ve been passionate about pulling together a getaway that would combine lots of time for personal reflection and spiritual growth, healthy food and workouts, healing prayer, and Bible teaching – all in a stunning, peaceful location.
This would be the Body Stewardship Retreat.
I’d like to test the (warm Florida) waters on this, though, and get your thoughts on a mini version I might put together in the coming months. This would be a shorter, simpler, and more affordable guided partial-silent retreat.
Rather than deluging this email with the details of my brainstorm, I’ve drawn up a quick little survey where I throw out some ideas on timing, format, price and location, and you can let me know your thoughts.
I know, I know, another survey! But the upside is that everything I do is tailored to you and what you tell me you want! 🙂 You can find it here.
I am SUPER excited to see where these new projects head, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts about how I can make them exactly what you’re looking for! Just comment below, fill out the quick retreat survey, or hit reply and tell me 🙂
Also, this past Monday night I was interviewed on Cass Durham’s ‘Fully Persuaded about Faith’ radio show and we had a super fun and in-depth discussion about body stewardship. If you haven’t heard it yet, or you just want to sing along again to the awesome gospel intro song (I totally do!) you can find it here.
Much love and freedom to you, beautiful!
Jackie
P.S. If you haven’t grabbed the Love Your Body 101 worksheet yet, you still can here – reentering your email will just update your info: https://jackiedixon.org
And of course please feel free to forward this link to a friend you think may find it useful! 🙂
Good for you! So many don’t realize how much God and caring for your body go hand in hand. Best wishes on your new adventure!
I could not agree more, Sarah Ann! Thanks so much!! 🙂
I am your neighbor at raralinkup. Taking care of our body, mind, and spirit is essential for healthy living but rarely done well. Cheers to you for spearheading this. May God give you wisdom as you help others to grow and develop in healthy living.
Thank you, Cheryl!! It really is key, and the balance of doing it practically and with purity is not often addressed! Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
Well first, let me say how much I love hearing someone else say “super excited” and “super fun”! It’s actually a joke we have around our house that I need to create a t-shirt with “I’m super excited” on it. I love how you have the word “freedom” in your about me. I would love to hear more about this retreat your talking about and I think what you are doing in your space is totally awesome. My husband and I are launching a kickstarter campaign this summer to give back to human trafficking. We will reveal a clothing capsule I’ve been working on. Soft tees with local artists, including our oldest daughter and designer hats. I talk a lot about freedom in my space and starting a link up within the next few weeks. I would love to hear some stories of freedom fro you sometime. Maybe in the link up. So excited to dive into your blog a little more and see how I can highlight what you’re doing in our space. Many blessings girl! Amy <3
I forgot to tell you I found you on #tellhisstory ….YAY!
HI Amy!!! SO fun to have you here! I’m so glad to find someone else with excessive enthusiasm for life – it seems to me that most things are ‘super exciting’! 🙂 If you make that t-shirt I will grab one too haha! 😉
I love your emphasis on freedom as well – it is so important, and so often forgotten! We are free indeed!! I’d love to see your clothing capsule – that sounds so fabulous, and that is the main cause I donate toward fighting against as well. And I will most definitely come join your link-up once it’s started! Do jump on my email list at jackiedixon.org and I will keep you in the loop about the retreat! 🙂 Much love to you!!!
